Finally Lydia's wedding day arrives, and to Lydia's disappointment her wedding is only witnessed by her aunt and uncle. After the wedding Lydia and Whickam come home and stay at the Loungbourn for ten days, everybody except for Elizabeth and Jane were happy about Lydia's return. When Wickham comes to their house the two daughters are extremely inhostile to him. Lydia and her husband eventually leave and they are sad and happy at the same time. After they leave news excites the family that Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy are to return to their home at Netherfield and they are finally going have their overdued dinner. Mr Bingley is extremely affectionate to Jane and asks her to marry him. Meanwhile Mr. Darcy barely even speaks to Elizabeth.
